Vickie is widely regarded as a gifted artist who is generously blessed with an abundance of natural talent, a talent that she also willingly shares among her growing number of eager and inspired students. Vickie seeks, through her own unique works of art to invite viewing pleasure for those who have chosen to search out the deeper meaning and creative intent behind each of her creations.
Following fifteen years of mostly commercial painting, Vickie took a new direction, wanting to create works that are ‘one of a kind’, thereby allowing her the freedom of time, and expression for each individual piece. Using oils, acrylics, or any other medium deemed necessary to adequately express emotion, not only within herself, but also within each future owner, for Vickie, is definitely the striving force behind each and every artwork.She concedes that she struggles somewhat to label herself within any one particular style, given that she will find herself deeply exploring the art of abstract painting one day, whilst finding that her very next project to be more a consideration of fine art. The galleries are reflective of snippets of her moods at each particular time, as you will see as you wander through her landscapes, floras, fine detailed murals, wildlife, abstracts, and almost every other painting style.
It is Vickie’s deep belief that everyone is in search of that ‘extra special something’ that draws the viewer into the deeper realms of understanding and appreciation of each particular work of art. This very likely explains why many of her local, and international clients keep coming back to secure ownership of another ‘Vickie J’ creation. It is Vickie’s hope that, as you venture through this site, that you will feel inspired, entertained, appreciative, and also that you will feel that you have been blessed with a touch of peace and contentment.

An often overlookeded piece of the teaching puzzle is the relationship a teacher must forge with each of their students. All of my students have become much more than people that come to me for guidance through painting. Most of them have started out with little or NO knownledge as to how to even begin a painting, let alone think that they have the ability to complete a project that they will be pleased with. In my art classes I encourage students to take one lesson - basic beginners, so that they familiarize themselves with my own terminology and techniques so that their future projects are easier to accomplish.
