An often overlookeded piece of the teaching puzzle is the relationship a teacher must forge with each of their students. All of my students have become much more than people that come to me for guidance through painting. Most of them have started out with little or NO knownledge as to how to even begin a painting, let alone think that they have the ability to complete a project that they will be pleased with. In my art classes I encourage students to take one lesson - basic beginners, so that they familiarize themselves with my own terminology and techniques so that their future projects are easier to accomplish.

My students work on projects at their own level and at a pace they are comfortable with. They paint whatever they want and use whatever medium their project requires. As a teacher I am very adaptable and can flutter between students and their varied projects. From a constructed 'folk art' flower to the soft blending needed when working with oils, my students keep me active and our goal is to make progress in the course of a 2 1/2 hr lesson. You can see some of my students finished projects in their own gallery.

As well prepared as I think I am with my classes every so often a student will excel and find their own special style. Nothing could make me prouder when I'm able to sit back and admire the work that a student is producing. One such student is Bev, having been with me now for almost 3 years, she is developing her own little niche where she has found grounds to express herself in.

I'm pleased to promote Bev further now as she ventures into the online world of marketing her unique artwork. For the first time ever Bev has listed some of her artwork through eBay and she is also promoting herself as a self representing artist via EBSQ. I encourage you to visit her EBSQ site and to consider browsing her artwork on eBay.

Below are Bev's first eBay listings:
